In the first papragraph you need to use specific examples when you talk about the portrayal of 'foreign' characters. What about 'It Aint Half Hot Mum' Also, when you talk about the changes to the genre - hybrids, mocumentary and so on, could you link this point to the increasing sophistication of audiences who have become very used to the conventions of this form.
